Tenosynovial giant cell tumor (TGCT) is a rare type of typically non-malignant tumor occurring in or around a joint that can reduce function and cause damage to neighboring tissues. Localized TGCT, the most common form, is usually limited to a specific part of the joint. It is typically found in or around small joints, like those of the hands and feet. Localized TGCT is also known as giant cell tumor of the tendon sheath (GCT-TS).
